This dirk is loosely based on the Sherriffmuir dirk. I made this one based on one really bad photograph - taken through glass - and one even worse line drawing. Neither of these came remotely close to the real thing. Take a look at "The Sheriffmuir Dirk" elsewhere on this site for a look at what it's supposed to be.
Blade: 12 3/8" 5160 steel. Length overall-16 3/8". Has a 5" fuller. It has been differentially heat treated.
Handle: Carved rosewood, same carving as the original.
