I will no longer be making knives using elephant ivory, whether pre-CITES ban or not.
Bleeding heart that I am I cannot square the use of ivory
with the idea that last year over 25,000 elephants were killed in
Africa alone just for their tusks, leaving the carcasses to rot. Ivory is a wonderful material to work with,
but it is no longer for me.
