In the interest of full disclosure I must admit that I did not forge this blade.
It was made in the mid 1800's in (probably) Sheffield. However I did fit up the handle and make the sheath.
Note: stamped on the blade are the words "made of best cast steel."
This mark was not used for very many years, and at the time was considered the mark of excellence.
Blade: mid-1800's cast steel
Handle: White tail antler.
